4.2Lt straight six (the 2F is a Chevy copy).
This engine is running stainless steel valves and seats and has had some mild head work.
H&M Headers with a fast flow sports exhaust and a through muffler.
HIGH CLONE on the carbie and a custom snorkel to get cooler air into the engine.
80 amp alternator from a Mitsubishi Magn to charge the duel batteries better and run the big lights.
Electric ignition fitted and re-mapped from a Toyota Crown.
TRANSMISSION
5 speed 75 series cruiser transmission, had to shorten the rear drive shaft and
lengthen the front drive shaft, both fitted with 3 piece uni joints.
I also had to make a new cross member for the gear box and I fitted a heavy duty
clutch and pressure plate.
SUSPENSION
TOUGH DOG ADJUSTABLE shock absorbers all round and LOVELL springs with a
4 inch lift at the front and a 5 inch lift at the rear.
I have fitted a TOUGH DOG self centring steering dampener as well.
TYRES
I am running MICKEY THOMPSON MTZ at the moment and find them excellent
in all terrains.
I am also running 16 by 10 alloy rims but have a spare set of steel rims in reserve.
LIGHTS
Roof lights are NIGHT STALKER 180s with 100 watt globes and the front spots are
LIGHT FORCE 200s with 100 watt globes.
There is a 50 watt NARVER work light on the rear rack.
